Maison Martin Margiela Sunglasses

WOW. Need I say more? These Margiela sunglasses featured in an editorial from Elle France, are absolutely sick. The hunt begins for them because they are ultimately the most perfect pair of summer sunglasses. XO, Liza

Outfit of the Day: Rachel Comey Stingerd Dress in Wickered Dots and Gold Barbaro Boot

Priced at $385, I feel I would get my wear out of this dress over and over again. Being Memorial Day weekend and all, I am feeling outrageously "BBQ/preppy/southern/sundressy". Yes, I just made that a phrase. Haha. So this look is suiting my mood today. When in doubt, Rachel Comey is my go-to. The Barbaro Boots that just dropped yesterday on Creatures of Comfort are a bit Whoopi Golberg circa Sister Act before she becomes a nun. I live for them anyway though because I think they would liven up any dull outfit year round. Also, I can never get enough of Comey's amazing wood wedge heel. To top off the look, I'd pair it with the new Lucia sunglasses by Retro Super Future. I have been loving this new line for a while now. Check out the post I did on them for some more looks: Super. Happy Sunday guys.

Shoot of the Day: Jalouse with Barbara Palvin

So I came across this shoot this afternoon on one of my favorite blogs, Studded Hearts, and fell completely in love. First of all, how gorgeous is this model? I love her big blue eyes and her sticks for legs. She kind of reminds me of a young Sasha with dark hair. Oh and how can you not LOVE this editorial since the Miu Miu platforms are practically in every shot? I think they are my favorite shoes of the season. XO, Liza

Little girl innocent with knee highs and sky high platforms. LOVE.

So pretty.

Jewelry Designer Spotlight: Lady Grey

Loving loving loving designers Jill Martinelli and Sabine Le Guyader for Lady Grey. These women met while studying metal smithing and sculpture at Massachusetts College of Art. They instantly bonded, became fast friends, and started this line. It reminds me of a modernized Wilma Flintstone. Hahaha. I am adoring these pieces. They just went down to half off on Forwardforward.com, but most are already out of stock. Sobbbb. I will be keeping an eye out on these two from now on though! Check it out!

I love how the stone is set.

I rarely wear earrings, but I would most definitely make an exception for these!

Amazing.

Lingerie Designer Spotlight: Kiki de Montparnasse

As I am a huge lingerie/pajama person, I am always lusting over the little nighties and boyshorts at Agent Provocateur or online on Shopbop and Net-A-Porter. One of my favorite lines is Kiki de Montparnasse. Luxurious and romantic, Kiki de Montparnasse is made from the highest quality fabrics and materials. Not only are they known for their lingerie, but home and bath and body products too. With stores in New York, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas, I am dying to go to one to see everything in person! Below are some of my favorite pieces. Check them out. They are most definitely drool-worthy. XO, Liza

Garter Tank- This is so amazing. What a great invention and so sexy. Love it!

Le Soliel Boy Shorts- Always love boy shorts. These are so fun and sexy.

Babydoll Top- So pretty! I love anything that's a babydoll style. Love the little ribbon bow too at the neckline.

Amour Lounge Pin-up Silk Satin Bra- Obsessed. This bra reminds me of one at Agent Provocateur... So cute. This would look amazing peaking out of a blazer or even a crisp white button down.

Sunglass Designer Spotlight: Ted Lapidus

Lapidus was born in 1929 and passed away at the age of 79 in December 2008. He was pretty much born into the garment trade, son of a Russian tailor and a refugee in Paris. He grew up wanting to go into medicine, but found out rather quickly that going into fashion would be more lucrative for him. By the age of 21, he had his own label. By age 28, his own line "Ted" was selling all over London. Throughout his life, he created clothing for men and women, dressing the likes of Twiggy, Brigitte Bardot and Jane Fonda to name a few. His accessories to this day are considered collectibles. I completely credit Liza for introducing me to his amazing sunglasses in the summer of 2005 I believe it was. She has bought many of hers from Ebay and a vintage store here in LA, "The Way We Wore". She has quite the collection that I regularly drool over and borrow when I visit her in Chicago. I just came across a website that has an amazing selection and the price range isn't too bad. I am IN LOVE with the first pair and will absolutely be saving up for these as my new summer shades. They are beyond fun and gorgeous! So take a peek and get acquainted with our sunglass idol, Ted Lapidus!

Love bugs! Me wearing a pair of Lize's red Lapidus sunglasses this past winter in Chicago.

They are so amazing. Gahhh, I want them. Lucky for me... we share everything.

80's/graffiti-esque perfection. I need these right now.

Beautiful color.

Love the gold rim on these.

Kind of love the "Lord Licorice" look of these. Hahaha.

Stunning. So regal.

A perfect black go-to.

Sun Hats for Summer by Eugenia Kim and Bop Basics

Ok, so now that I am 25, I have officially begun taking my mother's advice. "Cover your face up! Wear a hat! You're gonna damage your skin!" Guhhhhhh. Since I drive a convertible, I wear my San Diego Hat & Co hats to death and they have holes in them... So I am desperate for new ones. Here are a few that I have my eye on for summer.

Behati Prinsloo by Kayt Jones for i-D Summer 2010

In honor of our boys, I decided this shoot suits my mood today. Kayt Jones is the most bad ass woman photographer in all of fashion in my opinion. I did a post on her a long time ago, see here: Kayt Jones

I respect her so much and I adore this shoot. Cute couple shoots that aren't raunchy, are hard to come by. Check it out.
